Natural Heritage Institute

NHI's work is of broad public benefit, not for private commercial gain. NHI selects its projects with two criteria in mind: the potential for tangible and durable improvement in the condition of the physical environment and the well-being of local populations; and the potential to progressively develop and advance the techniques for governing and managing natural resources.

Northern Alliance for Sustainability

The Northern Alliance for Sustainability (ANPED), is a democratic network that links NGOs and voluntary organisations in all parts of the Northern hemisphere. ANPED works to promote sustainable societies worldwide. We do this by supporting grassroots activity and participatory democracy and linking NGOs who share our aims.
ANPED aims to ensure that governments around the world take the problem of the lack of corporate accountability in sustainable development serious, and pushes for the development of globally binding rules for sustainable corporate behaviour. We look to find an effective policy mix between regulations, incentives for proper behaviour (which includes government controlled financial instruments like ECA's), and voluntary approaches.
